Compounding Services
Rancho Pharmacy provides compounding services to meet each patient’s individual needs.
Our specialties include dermatology, pediatrics, dentistry, podiatry, veterinary and more!
Dentistry
We can work closely with dentists to prepare medications for gum disease, oral ulcers, canker sores, tooth whitening, dry mouth and more! We can customize dosage forms for patients that have trouble swallowing a medication. This includes things such as liquids, pastes, lip balms, lollipops and more.
Dermatology
There a variety of medications that can be made by a compounding pharmacy that are not available commercially. Dermatological conditions can be treated with compounds including: acne, melasma, psoriasis, scarring, rosacea, vitiligo, warts and sun damage. Compounds may include hydroquinone, chemical peels, and azelaic acid. In addition there are choices to assist with hair loss such as minoxidil solutions.
Medication Flavoring
Medicine does not have to taste bad. As a compounding pharmacy we are able to flavor a medication to help with palatability. Whether it is a child taking a cough syrup or a cat that refuses to take an antibiotic. Flavoring is a great option.
Pain Management
Compounding for pain management may help patients alleviate pain. Some of the many compounds include LDN (low dose naltrexone), ketamine/amitriptyline transdermal and others.
Palliative Care
Our pharmacists can work with providers to create formulas that help alleviate pain, nausea, dry mouth, excessive salivation, seizures and thrush. Formulas can be custom made in a variety of dosage forms including: rapid-dissolve tablets, oral rinses, troches, and suppositories.
Pediatrics
Adherence and outcomes can be greatly improved with specialized compounds for pediatrics. Medications can be flavored to mask bitter or salty tastes. In addition, medications can take into account allergies so they are gluten-free, sugar-free, corn-syrup free, casein-free and soy free. If your child has an allergy that is not listed talk to our pharmacist and we can find a formula that is safe and effective for your child.
Podiatry
We can assist with onychomycosis, and other yeast and bacterial infections of the nails and nail plates. Podiatry formulations that can be compounded may include: Topical formulations such as urea ointment, clotrimazole, ibuprofen in DMSO, or butenafine and tea tree oil.
Sports Medicine
Compounds may be customized to help combat nerve pain, topical fungal infections and heal blisters and calluses.
Wound Care
Our pharmacists can work with physicians to create customized formulations to meet patient’s needs. Formulations include antifungal creams, pain creams and formulas to assist with healing properties.
Veterinary
Compounds can be made for all pets including dogs, cats, birds and others. Compounding allows us to prepare flavored medications, transdermal medications, unavailable medications, and combinations of medications to help improve adherence.

Quality & Safety
Quality and safety is our number one priority. We follow strict standards and go above and beyond to ensure the quality and safety of your compound.
